The Cherry Creek Sneak
As an active runner, I’m always looking for fun events to participate in. Lucky for me, my favorite is right in my own backyard!
The Cherry Creek Sneak is an annual event that benefits the Food Bank of the Rockies, which “provides food and supplies to more than 800 hunger-relief programs.”
I ran the 10-mile route this year, but missed my daughter Maya. In years’ past I pushed my her in her stroller. But she’s a little older now — I’m counting down the days when

With three race options – a 10-mile run, 5-mile walk/run, and 3.1-mile run/walk – this course is perfect for avid runners and those who are just looking to get out and enjoy a lovely morning in one of Denver’s most popular neighborhoods.
And there’s plenty to do after the race as well! The after-party includes:
- Enjoy free beer in the Leinenkugel Beer Garden for participants age 21 and over
- Children Diaper Dash (10 am in the Kids\’ Fun Zone)
- Costume Contest (10:30 am in the Leinenkugel Beer Garden)
- Samples from our exhibitors
- Music
- Sponsor and vendor booths
