New measures for us to stay safe and transact smartly

Within the last few weeks, the world has been forced to confront the reality of a global spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). My heart goes out to each and every one of you as our lives are changing on a daily basis.

The health and safety of you (buyers and sellers, past clients, friends and family) is my first priority. As far as real estate in and around Denver, buyers and sellers are still moving through transactions. To keep all of us safe during these times, I’ve put the following measures in place:

  • We will do new buyer and seller consultations over Zoom video conference, rather than in person.
  • Sellers: Restrictions now include no overlapping showing appointments and only for prequalified buyers. Additionally, hand sanitizer or disinfect wipes are provided to sellers during showing periods.
  • Buyers: Tour only homes that we have highly vetted by assessing online photos and videos. Home inspectors are encouraged to tour homes independently and, in some cases, offer summaries over Zoom video conferencing.
  • Closings: Lenders and title companies have established the ability to conduct remote closings or to host just one signing party at a time at their offices.

This is a fluid situation, as you all know. I will continue to monitor and adjust accordingly.

As far as real estate in 2020, be sure to have a plan in place as we all continue sailing on uncharted waters. Should you wish to discuss your 2020 plan, please contact me: kharris@milehimodern.com.

Now for a moment of lightness, most of us are now working from home a lot and with our kids home, so I thought you might enjoy a quick laugh at how hard it can be to work with little kids at home. I feel you!!
