We had a great turnout for the inaugural Cherry Creek Garden Tour this past Saturday, June 30! I wasn’t sure what to expect for our first tour, but it’s clear — demand is high for a garden tour in our wonderful Cherry Creek neighborhood! We’ll be holding another one next year — stay tuned!

We sold over 100 tickets to the event, which the wonderful weather supported in making it a raving success. We had lots of attendees strolling the streets and admiring Cherry Creek gardens — a perfect way to experience Cherry Creek, especially if you capped it off with some socializing and a drink at the rooftop afterparty and benefit at Room & Board!

Speaking of benefit.

Many garden tour attendees enjoyed drinks and socializing at the rooftop afterparty and benefit at Room & Board.

I’m extremely happy to report that we raised over $1,000 for our charity cause, the Zane Beadles Parade Foundation, a nonprofit that supports families with young children facing critical illnesses. Through its Greatest Gift Program, for example, the nonprofit has helped over 5,000 families have memorable adventures and experiences with their ill children.

On July 19, former Denver Bronco Zane Beadles, owner and founder of the foundation, will be at our office to accept a check for the donation. One hundred percent of ticket sales supported our donation, in addition to the items raffled from our raffle partners The Twisted Tulip, Cucina Colore, The Vineyard Wine Shop and Del Frisco’s Grille.

Of course, running an event for the first time, I learned some things. 🙂 Next year, we will provide signs at every garden and have volunteers greet guests and highlight garden details, flowers, plants, etc.

Next year, the Cherry Creek Business Improvement District will partner with us to feature gardens and sculptures within the shopping district.

In short, stay tuned for a bigger and better Cherry Creek Garden Tour next year. Thank you to all who participated!
