This week I’m giving a shout out to Skipper and Scout, a new modern kids clothing store in Cherry Creek North.

My daughter loving life in Skipper and Scout leggings.

Skipper and Scout popped up on my radar while hosting a fundraiser for my son’s preschool, Temple Emanuel. The store owner pro-actively hosts fundraisers for local schools, creating a shopping experience with apps, wine and music. My 6-year-old daughter came with me to the after-school event and picked out some soft leggings. It’s a good thing we bought them, they are one of only two pairs she actually wears! Which means, she wears them every. other. day.

Skipper and Scout, which opened its Cherry Creek location late last year, carries a variety of sporty, casual, dressy and seasonal clothes for baby, toddler, kid and tweens. The store separates itself from the competition by offering items from unique Colorado designers to well-known national brands.

I love the athletic clothing, great for tennis, soccer and play dates at the park. Additionally, in-store events including story time for babies and Ivivva (Lululemon’s brand of girls-focused activewear) fit sessions for tween athletes create a community atmosphere.

Cherry Creek North Location

Ideal Cherry Creek North location near Whole Foods, Ink Coffee, HW Home and public parking.

The walkable location combined with clothes offered at a variety of price ranges has been essential to the store’s success. With its flagship store in Vail, Cherry Creek North seemed to be the perfect fit for a second location. Located in a shopping district with boutique, niche and world-class retailers, it also offers daily walk-in traffic. In addition, it’s a shopping destination for families from surrounding neighborhoods.

Next time you are in the market for some chic kids clothing, take the time to check out Skipper and Scout instead of getting pulled into Target’s orbit (again), and you won’t be disappointed!

In fact, I might be headed there this weekend. My daughter still remembers a night light that would be great for our next birthday party gift.
