Del Frisco’s Grille is a restaurant treat located in the very heart of Cherry Creek North, on the corner of St. Paul Street across E 1st Avenue from the Cherry Creek Shopping Center.

Its food is always fresh and, since it’s conveniently located next to our brokerage office and First Integrity Title, a first-class title company in Cherry Creek that I end up using a lot, I frequently use it as a post-closing celebration treat with clients. Yahoo!

One of my favorite features of the restaurant, which has a handful of locations across the U.S. and whose fare ranges from ahi tacos to burgers to filet mignon, is its rooftop deck — a glorious place for lunch. It’s a fun atmosphere to meet friends in the late afternoon, too.

It is also community-minded, another thing I love about the restaurant. It participated in a raffle benefit we organized in conjunction with the Cherry Creek Garden Tour. Its generosity helped us raise $1,000 for the Zane Beadles Parade Foundation!

Q&A with Del Frisco’s General Manager Scott Robeda.

What’s your founding vision?

Genuine hospitality is a big deal for us. We’ve been open for two and a half years at this location. The biggest feedback we hear from patrons is how comfortable they feel here. That is not by accident — it’s something we focus on. We want to be the neighborhood eatery, where our neighbors know they can get a good meal at a good price.

We also like to think that we have the best rooftop patio in Cherry Creek.

How long have you been in Cherry Creek?

We opened around Thanksgiving 2015. All the construction down here has been a little bit of a challenge. But we offer complimentary valet, a great perk for patrons who want to shop in Cherry Creek for a few hours and then have a great bite to eat with us.

What’s your best seller?

Our burgers are very popular. Our steaks are also phenomenal — we source them from a renowned Chicago distributor.

Describe your perfect Cherry Creek day

Every day’s pretty good here. We love our regular clientele. We also value having locally-owned shops nearby and family. We love the collegial vibe of area restaurants. If a linen shipment is late, for example, we can go to a nearby restaurant and borrow what we need. We love that comaraderie.
